Chartercraft phone, email and the booking form

The Chartercraft phone line and email address both go to the booking team directly. There’s no call-centre routing. The phone is answered by a person who can quote rates, check vessel availability and email a quote within the same call. Office hours are weekdays 09:00 to 18:00 and weekends 19:00 to 14:00 local time (SAST). Out-of-hours messages are picked up first thing the next morning.

The booking form on this page is the same inbox; use whichever channel suits the way you prefer to write. Long enquiries with multiple dates and group sizes work better as email or form; quick “is this Saturday available?” questions work better as phone or WhatsApp.

The booking manager assigned to your enquiry replies with a quote within 24 hours, usually faster on weekdays. The reply includes vessel availability, the per-hour rate, the suggested vessel for your group size and itinerary, signed terms attached, and payment options (card or EFT). One booking manager per enquiry; their direct mobile is in the signature so subsequent questions skip the inbox.

Chartercraft booking enquiry: what to include

The fastest Chartercraft booking enquiry includes seven things, in this order:

  1. Date(s). Specific date with one or two backup dates is better than a date range.
  2. Time of day. Sundowner / lunch / morning / full-day. If sundowner, we calculate the start time from the date’s actual sunset.
  3. Group size. Confirmed adult headcount. Children are noted separately; under-twos don’t count toward capacity on most vessels.
  4. Type of trip. Sunset cruise, lunch cruise, coastal trip, scenic helicopter flight, wedding charter, corporate event, proposal, etc.
  5. Vessel preference (optional). If you’ve browsed the fleet and have a vessel in mind, name it. If not, leave it open and we recommend.
  6. Catering and bar. Whether you want us to arrange catering through our Cape Town suppliers, or you’re bringing your own.

A booking agency. We don’t own the boats or the helicopters. We work with vetted V&A operators and book whichever vessel actually fits your charter.

How do you take payment?

Card by Payment Link or EFT. Signed terms before payment; 50% deposit to confirm; balance seven days before departure.

Where do I park?

The V&A Waterfront has secure parking throughout the precinct. The closest decks to the Marina are clearly signposted. Helicopter passengers should aim for the Mount Nelson side parking near the helipad.

Cancellation policy?

Operator-initiated cancellations (weather, mechanical) refund or reschedule in full. Client-initiated follow the per-vessel policy in your signed terms; typically full refund 30+ days out, partial 14 days, none inside 7 days.

Can I tour a vessel before booking?

Yes, on request and subject to operator availability. The booking manager coordinates.
