The package products on this page

Each helicopter tour package below is a fixed-route product with a per-person rate (for shared scenic flights) or a per-aircraft hourly rate (for private hire). Pick by duration:

  • The Hopper (12 minutes). Shortest scenic. V&A, Atlantic Seaboard, Camps Bay; complimentary Day Cruise included. From entry-level per-person rate on a shared flight.
  • Twelve Apostles (15 minutes). Dedicated route alongside the 18-peak range behind Camps Bay. Entry-level to mid-tier per-person rate.
  • The Atlantico (20 minutes). Atlantic Seaboard down to Hout Bay, BOS400 wreck, Duiker Island; complimentary Harbour Cruise included. Mid-tier per-person rate.
  • Robben Island (15–20 minutes). Table Bay crossing with 360-degree fly-around of the World Heritage Site (no landing). Mid-tier per-person rate.
  • Two Oceans (25 minutes). The most-booked of the helicopter tour packages. Atlantic plus False Bay coastline; full Table Mountain 360. Mid-tier per-person rate.
  • Cape Peninsula (50 to 60 minutes). Complete peninsula to the Cape Point lighthouse at the Cape of Good Hope. Premium / flagship; private hire typical.
  • Winelands (half-day to full day). The only route with an estate landing for tour, tasting and lunch (paid separately to the estate). Choose your estate from around twenty partners across Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Constantia, Paarl, Walker Bay, Elgin and Durbanville.

Shared or private

The Hopper, Twelve Apostles, Atlantico, Robben Island and Two Oceans run as both shared scenic flights (set departure times, four to five passengers per aircraft, per-person pricing) and private charters (whole aircraft, your group only, your time). The Cape Peninsula and Winelands are usually flown as private hire because the longer routes don’t fill shared scheduled slots reliably. Per-aircraft pricing on private hire: entry-level on the Robinson R44 (3 seats), mid-tier on the Airbus H120 (6 seats), Premium on the H125. Full route comparison and aircraft detail on the helicopter tour page.

Departure

All helicopter tour packages depart from the V&A Waterfront Helipad on the Mount Nelson side of the precinct. Check-in 20 to 30 minutes before take-off for the safety briefing, weight calculation and headset issue. Live pilot commentary on every route through noise-cancelling headsets.
