Private Charters Cape Town: Yachts, Helicopters & Boats

Private charters Cape Town through Chartercraft cover yachts, helicopter tours and boat cruises from the V&A Waterfront, all booked through one independent agency. We arrange about thirty vessels and aircraft with a vetted set of operators based at the Waterfront. Two-hour minimum on the boats, twelve minutes upwards in the air. Every booking confirmed within twenty-four hours, payment in Rand, signed terms before departure.

Why book private charters Cape Town through us

We don’t own the boats and we don’t fly the helicopters. That’s the point. When you ask for a yacht for ten guests on a Saturday afternoon in February, we don’t try to sell you the one we own. We pick the right vessel from the fleet of fourteen-plus at the V&A.

The boats are SAMSA-licensed (the South African Maritime Safety Authority). The aircraft are SACAA-maintained (Civil Aviation Authority). The skippers and pilots have been working this coastline long enough to know which side of Robben Island the wind sits on at four o’clock in summer.

What every charter includes:

  • One booking manager from quote to disembarkation
  • Per-hour pricing in Rand, no resort fees, no commission loading
  • The right vessel matched to your group size and the weather on the day
  • Flexible itineraries: sunset, lunch, proposal, corporate, whale-watching in season
  • Card or EFT, secure payment, signed terms before departure

Private charters Cape Town start from around R6,985 per hour on Le Cat, our most affordable sailing catamaran (12 guests, 2-hour minimum, R13,970 floor). Group power catamarans are R12,750/hr. Luxury motor yachts run higher. Helicopter charters are R30,640 per hour on the Robinson R44 or R47,700 on the Airbus H120, one-hour minimum. A written quote always confirms the final number.

Where do the charters depart from?

Yacht and boat charters leave from the V&A Waterfront Marina. Helicopters lift off from the V&A Waterfront Helipad on the Mount Nelson side. Both are a short walk from Waterfront parking.

How far ahead should I book?

Saturday sunsets in summer (November to April) get tight three weeks out. Weekday charters and helicopter flights can usually go inside seventy-two hours.

Can you handle corporate bookings and big groups?

Yes. Tigger 2 Royale takes 65 guests, A Beautiful Life takes 60, the largest power catamaran takes 140. We do team-builds, year-end functions, product launches and weddings on the water.

What happens if the weather turns?

The operator’s call. If they pull the charter for safety reasons you get a reschedule or full refund. No fee on operator-initiated cancellations.
